Theatre Man Takes the Brothers to Edinburgh

Hello, Josh here.

By day I work in healthcare. By night, I am Theatre Man.

Twenty-five years in theatre, fifteen of them writing plays, and this year it caught: readings, audiences, real traction. Now my play Brother Queerest is booked at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2027, the festival's 80th anniversary year, the largest performing arts festival in the world.

Brother Queerest is a campy queer horror comedy, Arsenic and Old Lace meets Charles Busch: two sweet-natured brothers, suspiciously thriving roses, a house full of secrets. Four actors, one set, no intermission, twelve performances in the 47-seat Stephenson Theatre, August 16 to 28, 2027.

I am producing it myself. Agreement signed, deposit paid. It will cost roughly $25,000 in all: venue, registration, flights, housing, a UK director and production manager, four fairly paid actors, the set. I am covering a large share. What I raise here closes the gap and pays the artists.

Supporters get the journey: updates on my website, pushed to every donor. Give $25 or more for a poster signed by the cast and me.

Cannot give? No problem, I just appreciate your support.

Thank you for helping two sweet brothers and their roses cross the Atlantic.
